"After going through some dark years of perimenopause, Jeanne convinced me to try Pilates again to get my body and head back into gear. My first mat class with her was a killer to me. I had no stamina, flexibility, core strength or focus. I continued to go twice a week and (because I like a challenge) on my off days practiced the harder exercises at home.
This helped pay off because after a month, I started noticing changes to my body, flexibility, core strength and overall stamina.
I was starting to feel more aware of certain parts of my body because in the back of my head I kept hearing Jeanne’s voice saying, “Pull your belly in. Pull your shoulder blades down your back. Breathe.” Under her tutelage, my body started to change and I went down a whole size.
Getting stronger, more flexible and much more focused enabled me to continue with regular workouts 4-5 times a week. Now, 8 years later, I’m down 2 sizes and in the best shape I’ve been in for quite a long time. I have learned so much from Jeanne and about Pilates that I decided to take it a step further and became a Pilates instructor myself.
Teaching for 3 years now, I’m still amazed at how much I still learn from Jeanne’s classes. She’s a great teacher and knows her stuff.
